Eddie Edward – February 2019 Volunteer of the Month

Meet Eddie Edward, Ausome Ottawa’s February Volunteer of the Month!

You might recognize Eddie as a star Ottawa Fury FC player… However, did you know that since last May, he has also been a star Ausome volunteer? From soccer, basketball, summer, and PD day camps to attending our annual fundraiser with his lovely wife Nada, Eddie has dedicated over 40 hours to Ausome.

(He also LOVES seafood and Caribbean food!)

His favourite Ausome moment: “I think my most memorable volunteering moment had to be the first time I ever volunteered with Ausome. It was a weekend that we had a Fury game and I remember being very tired… the way the kids embraced me after not really knowing me was amazing. I had a great time, and being around the kids completely changed my mood…. From that moment on, I knew that Ausome was a special organization and that I wanted to be a part of it moving forward.”
