Student Volunteer Opportunities & Placements

Whether you are a high school, university or college student, we have a variety of fun and exciting opportunities to help you achieve your academic goals.

Our volunteers are trained and work with qualified and dedicated staff to provide individualized support to youth and children living with autism at our many different sports programs. Ausome programs take place across the city of Ottawa, with almost all easily accessible by public transportation.

Requirement:

Post-Secondary Students (University & College)

We work with Carleton University, the University of Ottawa, Algonquin College, Queen’s University and other post–secondary institutions.

We provide students with placement opportunities that are determined by both the requirements of your academic program and the needs of Ausome.

Please contact your student services to learn more about completing a placement with Ausome Ottawa.

High School Students

If you are looking to complete your 40-60 hours of volunteerism to graduate hours, we have many different program support opportunities. You may join us at sports programs, special events, and provide in-office support.

Our Program staff will be available at the end of your session to sign-off on your volunteer hours.

"I chose it as a placement because I've always had a passion for working with children and I want to become a Behavioral Therapist so I thought it was the perfect way to build skills as well as give back to the community"
