Program Description: 

Ausome athletes are hitting the ice this winter! This entry-level skating will focus on basic skill development and fun. Athletes will practice standing up, marching, stopping, and gliding. Through different games, stations, and activities planned by AMPED coaches and supported by Ausome volunteers, athletes will become familiar with basic skating skills while increasing their comfort level on the ice.

Required gear (to be worn at all times):

• CSA–approved hockey helmet with cage/fishbowl
• Skates 
• Layered clothing 
• Gloves
• Knee pads and elbow pads
