Alyssa Murray—July 2023 Volunteer of the Month
Meet Alyssa, Ausome’s Volunteer of the Month! Knowing children on the spectrum in her hometown who could benefit from programs like Ausome, she came on as an university placement student in January 2023. Compassionate and driven, she has also volunteered at ice skating programs and summer camps for children over the years and enjoys the opportunity to keep learning with Ausome.
Her fave Ausome memory? Watching the athlete she was paired with at Learn to Skate go from needing her full support to skating independently in the course of just a few short weeks. When not volunteering or studying—she will be entering her second year of medical school— Alyssa enjoys reading, hiking, going on sunset walks and trying different flavours of ice cream.
